MK Enterprises, Inc.

As your contract manufacturing partner, MK Enterprises will work with you in any way necessary to produce a quality product that meets your delivery requirements and is reasonably priced. To help us meet these goals, we ask that you consider these guidelines. Over the years, we have found that working together in these areas allows us to provide you with the fast, efficient and economical service that is the hallmark of MK Enterprises.

Quotations and Standard Procedures
Promised deliveries are contingent on availability of all materials. Partial assembly can be coordinated upon request; delivery and charges will be recalculated. One-time charges typically include screen or stencil fabrication, tooling / fixturing, and programming charges. The stencil requires a mylar film positive and can be ordered in parallel with the bare printed circuit board; this eliminates extra lead-time. Consigned parts must be supplied in a format compatible with the assembly process quoted. For example, bulk material supplied in place of the component reels will require manual placement. This can affect delivery and cost. Material shrinkage does occur infrequently. MK Enterprises requests an initial 5% "floor stock" to assure timely delivery. This material can be returned after the invoice is complete or MK can hold the remaining material for subsequent assemblies.

Shipping and Packaging
Incoming material requiring static protection must be properly packaged and labeled as static sensitive. Tube or stick packages often need additional static bags. Caution- handle static sensitive material only when properly grounded. Surface mount devices are mechanically delicate - especially fine lead devices. Employ waffle packs or other packaging material that will provide damage protection. While packaging for shipment, do not place heavy parts on top of fine pitch parts. All material items must be separate and clearly marked to avoid repackaging. For out-going shipments, identify any specific labeling or shipping requirements

Assembly
Assembly workmanship standards are in accordance with the American National Standards Institute/IPC acceptability guidelines IPC-A_610A and IPC-R_700C. If other workmanship standards are required, specifications and related documentation must be provided.

Assembly documentation required:

·

Bill of materials (referencing components and their locations)

·

Assembly drawings(s) with the detailed instructions of the component placement.

·

A sample assembly is desired, if possible.

·

A listing if all documents required and their revisions levels.

·

Documentation containing materials procurement specifications, including component alternates. Differentiate the material to be purchased by MK Enterprises from that material that will be provided to MK Enterprises.

A complete document package is requested with the order. This will eliminate incomplete or changed documents that may still exist from the quoting operation.

 Testing

·

A written test specification, as a minimum. A full test procedure is desired.

·

Circuit schematics to support troubleshooting and repair operations.

·

Text fixtures and equipment. If these are customer supplied, they will be marked as customer property immediately upon receipt.

·

To facilitate troubleshooting, component data sheets for uncommon devices or custom IC's

Changes
The customer representative must notify MK of any assembly requirement changes (ecn, deviations, delivery requirements, etc.) Mk Enterprises will advice the customer when such changes can be incorporated into production. The customer must then provide written approval and revised documents to MK. Any discrepancies from the bill of materials requires notification.

For Example, a 1% resistor is supplied instead of a 5% resistor. A 0.47uF ceramic power supply decoupling capacitor is supplied in place of a .33uF ceramic capacitor. Another example would be a part that is larger in size, but functionally equivalent. While this may be an obvious engineering judgment that the replacement is satisfactory, MK Enterprises requests written guidelines to avoid any possible confusion.

Material and documentation must match exactly or MK Enterprises must have on file a written notification of the acceptable range of deviation. Because surface mount devices are often unmarked, extreme care must be taken to assure that the correct components are supplied for consignment. Bags, reels etc... must be clearly and correctly marked. This requirement is particularly important during the prototype phase of the product development where changes occur frequently. Careful adherence to this policy will prevent difficulties during prototype troubleshooting.
